LAN messenger application failed to initialize properly

Hi--I just did a fresh re-install of win xp sp3  (hard disk failed) and installed lan messenger 1.2.35--when i try to start it up I get:

failed to initialize properly 0xc0150002

Iinstalled c++ redistributable 2010 and 2005 but it still does not work...but it worked on the previous install of xp on the old drive.  Please help--thank you!
